The Life Time Sea Otter Classic - The world’s largest cycling festival - is made possible thanks to hundreds of volunteers and thousands of volunteer hours. Local non-profit organizations provide volunteers and the Sea Otter Classic Foundation awards financial grants in appreciation of the volunteer hours they contribute.
All volunteers receive a free 4-day Festival pass, t-shirt, lunch, and lots of gratitude! Volunteer 2 or more days and receive a Sea Otter Classic Foundation trucker hat.

Volunteer
We are recruiting non-profit organizations to join us in volunteering at the 33rd Life Time Sea Otter Classic, April 18-21, 2024. Financial grants are paid to our non-profit volunteer partners based on the hours they contribute. Volunteer roles include everything from staffing registration tables, the bike valet, hosting kids’ activities, and monitoring race courses. Find out how you can help.

What We Do
Our mission is to engage the community in sporting events like the Sea Otter Classic and to celebrate cycling and a healthy lifestyle. The Sea Otter Classic Foundation also sponsors school assemblies that demonstrate bike safety, teach riding skills, and promote an active lifestyle.

In 2023, more than 45 non-profit groups from throughout the tri-county region provided volunteers to support The Life Time Sea Otter Classic. In turn, the Sea Otter Classic Foundation donated over $70,000 to these valued partners in recognition of their support.
